Maureen Denise McCormick was born on August 5 1956, in Woodland Hills California the youngest and sole daughter of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. Her father worked as an elementary school teacher, and her mom was a stay at home mom. She has three older brothers: Michael Dennis and Kevin. Beginning at a very early stage of life, McCormick loved to sing and dance and would often present puppet shows to kids in the community. She was crowned in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest at age 6 and was then contacted through Pat Domigan, a talent agent with the Jack Wormser Agency. He requested that she be interested to be a part of the business of show production. McCormick found her first role as an actress major in the year 1964. She was featured in a commercial for Mattels' newest doll Baby Pattaburp. Later that year she did another commercial with the company's Chatty Cathy doll and was shortly cast in the musical The Wind It up until It breaks at the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick, chosen from more than 1500 auditioned children, was cast as the third of three head-to-head daughters in The Brady Bunch (1969), starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The show ran for five seasons and the show proved to be a huge success. McCormick, in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published in 2008, McCormick disclosed that during the 5th season of the television show, she was close to losing her virginity with her brother Barry Williams. She was just 16 when the incident occurred; he was 19. The woman said it might have been feasible, but we never had the right time to do it.
